The Vine United Methodist Church

Part time organ and piano accompanist

The VINE UMC has an opening for an organ & piano accompanist for our 11 a.m. worship service. The VINE UMC additionally, has a highly sought after early learning center where the organ & piano accompanist is invited to assist with preparing our early learners musically. Our ideal ministry member would desire to contribute and advocate for the love of music through our weekly worship services and seasonal outreaches. Depending on the liturgical calendar, the organ & piano accompanist can expect to work 3-7 hours per week in ministry with music, interest groups, outreach, shared meals, health/wellness, social justice, recreation, or other areas of their giftedness and skills. Opportunities, hours, and duties beyond our Sunday worship requirement are flexible. We seek to be a socially, theologically, and economically diverse Christian congregation where all are welcome to learn about God’s great love and the call to discipleship, mercy, and compassion. An ideal candidate will help us grow our worship program, presentation, participation, and platform in partnership with our pastor. 3-7 hours, $15,000 - $18,000 /yr. depending on experience and anticipated impact.

Organist/Accompanist

Central UMC in Concord, NC seeks part-time (20-25 hours per week) organist/pianist to play for Sunday worship services (8:45am & 11:00am). special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, Prayer and Healing services, etc. Right of first refusal for funerals and weddings. Supervise maintenance of 3 manual, 38 rank Quimby pipe organ, Opus 73, three baby grand pianos and several upright pianos. Salary range - $28,000 - $32,000 commensurate with training and experience. Organist, Principal Accompanist
