Supporting Organ & Choral Music in Charlotte

The American Guild of Organists - Charlotte Chapter supports organ and choral music in the greater Charlotte area. Through programs, scholarships, and professional connections, we seek to uplift the importance of organ and choral music by supporting the musician and delighting the listener.

No matter your skill level or musical background, your support of the Charlotte Chapter AGO helps bring quality organ and choral programs to the Charlotte area. Consider becoming a member of the AGO today. Read our newsletter here!

Legacy Project Videos

The Charlotte Chapter AGO established a scholarship in 2002 to honor the work of Ann and Robert Stigall, longtime directors of music at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Charlotte.

This scholarship was established to encourage students in grades 6-12 to study organ privately.

The Legacy Project features a collection of recitals given by Stigall Scholars who have continued their study of organ beyond their high school years. These recitals were given during the 2019 Summer Recital Series—a series given in memory of Robert Stigall.
