Pedals, Pipes, & Pizza

Calling all K-5 grade musicians! Come and learn more about the king of instruments, the pipe organ, in a fun and age-appropriate setting. Children are broken up into small groups and rotate around to different stations, including organ playing, learning how the inside of a pipe organ works, and assembling the Charlotte AGO's Orgelkids Kit--a model-sized pipe organ that is put together in pieces to create a real organ that plays!

Children are encouraged, but not required, to bring any piano repertoire books of music they already know. They will have the opportunity to sit at the organ bench and play their piano piece on the organ. 

A pizza lunch will be served at the conclusion of the event. Parents are most welcome to stay for the event if they wish. Face mask coverings are required for all attendees.
